Traveling Season is On!
The Lord has gifted me with organization. It’s a good thing, when you’re trying to take 10 people anywhere! However, now that stress of all types takes it’s toll physically because of adrenal failure – I struggle often with what I want to do, and what I can do. (Pace yourself Sara!)
Remind me again why I put so many appointments on the week we’re going to leave for vacation?
My naturopath said I looked tired this week. She was right. I am tired!
Last weekend I pulled all of the kid’s clothing and hid (packed) it away while the clean laundry baskets were empty. This always proves to be the best move. Provded no helpful hands pull anything back out.
All week I was busy baking and preparing the following:
8 Lbs of chicken
60 meat balls
10 lbs of cut apples
5 lbs of cut navel oranges
Endless supply of bananas
several dozen muffins
organic carrot/orange juice
nut-free paleo granola bars (Thanks paleo mom!)
and the list goes on and on…
I’m really thankful to be able to go on a vacation; but I’m sure I’ve convinced my husband ONE day trips are much easier on my body than two day trips. Making 6 meals at once while continuing your normal duties isn’t recommended. God continues to fill me up.
The same cooking/baking fest will occur to get back home. I had minimal ms “hugs” – which I think is progress but my feet and legs are very swollen!
I keep reminding myself it’s worth it. The kids are so excited and I’m the designated sleeper in the van. Zzzzz
Healthy for Him!
“He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might He increases strength.”

1 sweet potato
1 white potato
1 tsp thyme
1 tsp rosemary
1 tsp sea salt
1/2 pepper or to taste
Shred veggies and knead all meats and spices into large bowl. Shape into balls and fill up 2- 9×13 glass dishes.
Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
