Buy Bulk & Invest in Your Life!

My daughter’s thought I had lost my mind when I started piling in the boxes of Van’s GF waffles and french toast sticks… but at $1.29 off a box… I just couldn’t resist! Always watch sales and stock up when possible!

When I say “invest in your life” … all I really mean is, your quality of life.

Do I truly believe you’re going to add any more days than God has ordained for you?

But one could have the attitude of “live it up”…  eat it up, drink it up, smoke it up… we’re all going to get some type of cancer anyway.”

I was actually told of a Dr. who told their patient that… when “gluten sensitivity causing cancer” was brought up, they stated,  “Oh, everything causes cancer.”

Say Whaaaaaaaaa?

For starters???

That’s not true.

That sounds like a an ignorant generality to belittle the patient, and their genuine concerns.

Inflammation IS a huge cancer-causer,… and there are lots of different things can cause inflammation in your system.

THAT is true.

Do you never wear sun screen, because you could get cancer anyway?

Of course not.

Do you smoke and ignore warnings on the packages because, if you’re going to die of cancer – you’d like to choose your type of cancer?

No, we do what we can to take the best care of our bodies now… NOT because we’re taking them with us.  We’re doing it as an act of worship – and obedience to God’s call…  to take care of His temple.

So, when others tell me how expensive it is to make a choice to eat in a way that keeps your body healthy…

I think… “NO, actually – it’s a good investment in my health, I FEEL so much better and so does my family.”  It’s an easy decision for us…  simple?  Not always.

A friend recently share with me that her son heard on the radio, a daily talk show host said that going gluten-free was a new “fad diet” – because most people who THINK they have gluten sensitivity – don’t.  I loathe hearing things like this… I’m not sure what type of fad diet that would be – but it would be a short-lived one with as much time as this all takes.

No, it’s definitely NOT a fad.  For us, it’s for life.

To me, I begin to see how the numbers are skewed in a way, that we might not know for a very long time – just how vast this destructions lies, or how deep diseases like celiac are – simply due to the level of ignorance in some of the medical community, and the withdrawl of the patient from the process.

I’m not sure how that changes, through neurologists, MDs or GI doctors or when that will change?  I pray soon.  There are FAR too many people doing way too many tests with no answers… who DAILY are getting sicker and sicker as they continue to eat, breathe, and live gluten-FULL life – while it chips away at their immune system.

If there is a placebo effect “like that” – that eliminates dermatitis herpetaformis, rids my body of muscles cramps and other issues from malabsorption of vitamins, clears my head, and takes away all of our gut issues and chronic infections from the past 30 years….  than THAT must be one GREAT placebo effect!  {Now only if it would reverse some of the permanent effects the damage did!}

*Shakes head*

It seems the doctors that are the MOST in tune with this process… are the ones who have gluten sensitivity issues themselves, or within their family.  Suddenly, it affects them – and we learn so much quicker that way!

“He can deal gently with the ignorant and wayward, since he himself is beset with weakness.”
