Let It Go!

All Burt’s Bee’s items are GLUTEN FREE. They make great smelling shampoos/conditioners, as well as body wash and foaming soaps.

Throw it off… drop it, and run!

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before Him – He endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider Him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.”

What is God saying here?

As I’ve pondered the “sin” that easily entangles us in this world.

Our desire for approval, our comparisons… the envy, pride, dishonesty….

That is NOT the race God marked out for us.

I want to encourage you to THROW OFF anything that might be holding you back from being God’s best, and being healthy in MIND, body and Spirit.  It’s very easy to want to people please, to be something you’re not to try and make others happy.  I know, because I’m guilty of it myself.

Life is too short.

I threw off something this week… and it felt really good, so I wanted to share it with you.

God reminded me how special I am, in Him – just the way He made me.  Moldable to His image alone for His purpose alone.

He loves me.  ALL of me.  I don’t have to be anyone, other than who I am… He loves me EXACTLY how He made me.

Sure I stumble, make mistakes, occasionally do and say things I regret… but I ask for forgiveness and I communicate with my Maker every day, so I can get right with Him and try again.   Above all, I have a heart that desires to please God above man.  I value things of eternal value – and I’m blessed with a wonderful husband who leads myself and our family for God’s glory.

Our peace, satisfaction, and strength – is from God alone.

We work hard always, often behind the scenes, and quietly from public view … doing the best job we can – and we give discreetly (as He has commanded), in a way to please God alone – filling His call to us.

There is no positive or negative hardship, no amount of money big or small or any other circumstance that will separate us from God.

Deep down, remember – God only made ONE of you, and He wants you to be you.  If other people don’t LIKE who He made… {then they need to take it up with Him.}

Meanwhile, you go on smiling, working hard, and SHINING for His glory.  For every ONE person out there who is ugly, hurtful, or discouraging to you, there are 50 more who love you just as you are, and will cheer you on!

Focus on the ones who love YOU, who encourage you, and who want God’s best for you – no matter the earthly cost.

Above all, obey God and His word…. and at the end of day – rest well, knowing you pleased the right One.

“Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked,

nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers;

but his delight is in the law of the Lord,

and on His law he meditates day and night.”

Psalm 1:1-2
