Making the Grade

Me in my piles of papers to be graded...

It’s almost the end of the school year around here.  Lots of grading, tests and finalizing.

Next comes VACATION!

In the midst of all of this, we also have our home school conference, to prepare for next year’s schooling.

Must. Stay. On. Task.

It’s actually a ray of light in the midst of the end of the end of the school year blahs, and it happens this week!  Eeeks!

One might think it’s difficult to think about being excited for NEXT year, when this year isn’t even finished… and it can be.  However, there is something about seeing things from a new perspective that brings a rejuvenation into the blessing of teaching and molding my children’s minds – even right where I am today.

So what’s this have to do with MY health, you ask?

It’s as simple as being open to new and different ways to be healthy.  Finding ways to get EXCITED about being healthy for Him!  Different foods to try, exercises to experiment with…  things that spice things up, and yet keep you on track.

I don’t know about you, but I can get into a rut with my workouts too and it’s easy to fix my family the same thing week in and week out…

BOR-ING

It’s hard to get excited about things that aren’t exciting.  Right?

But, I don’t think I’m boring… and so I’m going to choose to not be!

So this week – make an extra effort to try a new whole foods recipe, or learn some new moves that might challenge your muscles in a NEW way!  Don’t just settle on getting in shape for swimsuit season (because, let’s face it,  I think that highlighted season in life is over for me) – focus on being in shape and healthy for Him!  What a way to live EACH and every day!  Not just in one “season” of the year.

So please share any new things you try with me.  I love it when you do that!  {even if it’s your NEW workout gear – that counts!}  God bless your week!

“I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.” -Galatians 5:16
