God is Here.

I had a lot of other topics I was going to write about…  but sometimes you have one of those things that can’t wait!

Today is one of those days.

A couple of weeks ago, my dear friend asked us to pray for a tangible sign from God – for her daughter.  You see, she was wondering if God was really there – and just wanted some sign.

This young lady was at an age that many raised in a Christian home start questioning things, and need to make the relationship with God their own.  It was so loving of her parents to do that – and that God provided.

She shared the story with us that their family had been watching a series called, “Beautiful Outlaw”.  I haven’t seen it personally, but I’m very interested now.  In it the story, a person is given signs from God – a heart.  It lets them know that God is there.

How warm and fuzzy right?  If only God simply sent hearts to us, to let us know He’s there when we’re struggling to see HIM.

You see, not just children questioning have a hard time.  Adults can have a hard time knowing where God is in the midst of trouble.

We often question…

WHAT are you doing God?

WHY this person God?

WHY this way God?

As I pondered several situations that have come up recently – to myself and others… My own mind started to “go there.”

WHY God?
The bottom line is – God’s ways aren’t our ways.

He doesn’t promise easy.  He doesn’t promise there won’t be heart ache, heart-break, and trying times in our lives.

But we CAN trust that He will always be there, through it all.  Thankful THIS is not my home.

As I pondered and prayed, I began to put my make-up away. I looked down... and saw this today. Thank you God, for always being there.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,”  declares the LORD.

“As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”  Isaiah 55:8-9

  2. I might just change my mind about hearts after all. 🙂
